Gussie was nicknamed "EllaWishes" because of her softness and soulfulness reminding us of an Ella Fitzgerald type of <Lady>. We only wished the best for Gussie and that's what she became.

She was one of our smallest girls, with a huge heart. She was first to snuggle with whoever visited our litter and was most often found underneath the "pile" of puppies when napping.

She was short and cobby, a real pretty puppy, one who I felt was very special inside.

"Gentle" is the first thing that comes to mind when Gussie is mentioned. She is always sure to make a gallant attempt to watch over those around her. She is the gentle guardian, one who is aware of all those who are involved in her life.

Gussie has been working in obedience and has proven her desire to work by easily attaining her Canine Good Citizen title along with gracefully passing the challenging Therapy Dog Certification test.

Gussie is filled with passion and continues to add that special spirit to her family. We couldn't be any more proud of Gussie and her wonderful accomplishments, but what makes Gussie so special is Gussie herself.

Bullmastiffs generally do not like the water, many will wade up to their bellies but very few will take to "swimming".

Gussie's thoughts: "A little bit of water never hurt anyone!"

Gussie makes a splash.... swimming is good for the mind, body and soul.

Ah, comic relief.

Gussie's unique character allows for humor in various degrees. She is always welcoming of a little bit of color, no matter what the occasion. Little Mac the Lab has joined in on the fun.

Gussie is always ready for anything. She is non-complacent and manages to "go-with-the-flow".

"I'D RATHER BE IN FLORIDA"

We laugh together, we sleep together,

We even make famous faces of each other...

No matter where Gussie is, who she is watching over or who is watching over her...she is surely following the Bulhaven path of ancestors who wanted nothing more than sharing themselves with those who love them.

Gussie has shared more than herself, she continues to share happy tail wags and beautiful smiles with children and adults alike.

She will move forward to continue and perfect her therapy work giving all of her love to those in need.

We love you Gussie!!
